- [ITEM:(153)Chronos' Pendant] is a very popular item on Athena due to giving a lot of Int and CDR. She struggles from long cooldowns, so it is not a bad item at all and perfectly fine instead of [ITEM:(210)Triton's Conch] but from my testing you get quite a lot more damage from the conch, aswell as buffing your allies due to it being an Aura item. The health is also great for some survivability.
- A lot of people seem to swear by Athena full int, which I honestly do not understand. She scales great with both strength and Int, however her main damage comes from her passive and those reach autos which scales a lot harder with strength. Due to her abilities scaling more with Int, i like to go hybrid with her. I have done quite a lot of testing and this is the highest consistent damage ive found. You could get higher hitting crits by sacrificing some crit chance, but a crit build with 20% crit chance does not feel good. This build has been by far the most consistent when it comes to going in and one shotting a squishy and getting out.
- You should ALWAYS auto after every ability you use, those reach auto attacks hits super hard, especially once you get poly + hydra. Athena's abilities are all super quick to cast so the combo of 3 - auto - 2 - auto feels extremely smooth and is very fast to use. Alternatively 2 first if they are trying to run away to taunt them back. Do whatever feels right in the moment, just remember to always auto after every ability.
- You should be able to one shot most squishies with this build. You simply taunt them and they die before they even get to play the game again.
- Try to look for ults as soon as you can throughout the game and help your team wherever they are engaging. Your ult hits fairly hard due to having a decent bit of int and then quickly followed up by an auto + taunt should almost guarantee kills every single time you ult.
Quick look at my match history spamming this build. yes, I know its casuals and probably not against the best of players, but its still a fun build and worth trying if you want some fun!
