Crowd Control, commonly called "CC", refers to a wide range of abilities designed to disrupt an enemy God's ability to act. These effects can temporarily prevent movement, block ability usage, or limit a God’s control over their own actions. While technically a type of debuff, CC stands apart due to its direct impact on a God’s combat potential—often turning the tide of a fight when used effectively.
Diminishing Returns
Diminishing Returns is a system that reduces the effectiveness of crowd control when multiple CC effects of the same type are applied to a target within a short time frame. This mechanic exists to prevent players from being completely locked down by a chain of crowd control effects, encouraging more strategic and balanced gameplay.
Types of Crowd Control
Crowd control is generally divided into two categories: Soft CC and Hard CC.
Hard CC
Hard crowd control completely disables a God’s ability to move or use abilities for a period of time. When affected by hard CC, a God is effectively unable to perform most actions.
Soft CC
Soft crowd control is less restrictive. It typically impairs a God’s movement, attack speed, or reaction time, rather than fully disabling them.

CC Buffering
CC Buffering refers to the ability to pre-cast or “buffer” an ability right before being crowd controlled, allowing the ability to still activate even while under the CC effect.
However, there are exceptions.
Dashes and Leaps cannot be buffered, and Silences will prevent buffering entirely.
This mechanic helps make characters feel more responsive and reduces frustration by allowing skilled timing before being locked down.
CC Immunities
CC Immunities prevent Gods from being affected by crowd control for a certain duration.
These can be granted by specific abilities, items, or relics, and are essential for avoiding chain CC during critical moments.
Additionally, some items provide immunity against certain types of Crowd Control, while others provide complete immunity to all Crowd Control for a short duration.
