Buff

Buff

[GOD:Ares], [GOD:Fenrir] & [GOD:Poseidon] buffed after activating Call To Arms,  Seething Howl &  Trident, respectively.

A buff is a positive status effect that enhances a God or Minion’s performance. Buffs can improve various attributes such as

HealthHealth, Mana, PhysicalPowerStrength, MagicalPower Intelligence, Attack Speed, or Movement Speed. In some cases, they may also grant unique effects beyond simple statistical increases. The opposite of a buff is a debuff, which negatively impacts a target.

Most buffs are temporary, lasting for a set duration before expiring. However, certain buffs may persist indefinitely, such as passive effects that enhance a god’s abilities over time. While most buffs are lost upon death, some may carry over or refresh under specific conditions.

Stacking and Refreshing

Buffs generally do not stack with themselves. Reapplying the same buff will typically refresh its duration rather than increasing its effects. However, some buffs can stack up to a predefined limit, granting additional benefits with each stack.

Sources of Buffs

Buffs can originate from various sources, including:

  • Abilities – Many gods have skills that provide buffs to themselves or allies.

  • Jungle Camps and Objectives – Defeating jungle camps and bosses grants buffs, such as Pathfinder and Inspiration, or Fire Giant Fury.

  • Relics and Items – Certain relics and items provide temporary or conditional buffs. (i.e. [ITEM:(1943)War Banner] or [ITEM:(1952)Phantom Shell])

  • Map Effects – Some areas of the map, such as Structures buffed with the Totem of Ku, provide buffs when passed through. The first jungle_camp_goldfuryGold Fury a Team secures will also grant a movement speed buff shortly after leaving Fountain.
