Healing is the act of restoring a god’s current health through abilities or items, separate from other forms of health recovery, such as lifesteal and health regeneration. It can be countered by health reduction effects. Scaling in various ways—some sources may scale with a percentage of a god's
intelligence, while others are influenced by
physical or
magical protections.

Healing cannot push a unit's current health above their maximum health, but certain effects, like leveling up, purchasing a new item and god abilities (e.g. [GOD:Achilles]' Gift of the Gods), can increase both a god’s maximum and current health at the same time. While this may appear similar to healing, it’s not classified as such and is therefore not affected by healing reduction.
